Make Something Monday

Another mixed techniques card today. A doily coaster crocheted in size 10 cotton thread and mounted on  a parchment craft background, with the addition, of course, of the obligatory flutterbye. LOL.

Take Two

I was so pleased with my crochet on cardstock experiment, that I decided to do it again. This is a favourite colour, not one I can wear as I'm too pale but I find blue a relaxing colour to crochet with and blue flowers are always special. Somehow butterflies made it on to this card too.

Crochet & Cardstock.

I love mixing different cardmaking techniques such as paper embroidery, with 3D decoupage or parchment craft. Today I decided to crochet a scalloped circle as a background for my  flowers instead of using a diecut doily or suchlike. I'm pleased with the result.

Cracking Crafty Individuals

Two cards made with a Crafty Individuals stamp. Both have backgrounds  created with tapestry stamps and distress inks.  The top one features large cracks made with UTEE and the bottom one is layered on a background coated with distress rock candy crackle paint.

Find the butterfly

Eilidh , aged 3, made this card today. She stamped the background with versamark clear embossing ink, then used chalk to 'find' all the hidden images. Mummy helped cut the teddy and stick on the embellishments.

Elusive Stamp

There is always one stamp you just have to have. Then it sits unused for years. I decided to unearth this Elusive Images one, using a manuscript stamp as background. Never let it be said that I buy things and never use them.....

W.I.P. Wednesday.

I have joined the thousands out there who have been inspired by Lucy of Attic24 fame. Today's Work In Progress  (and will be for many weeks to come, lol,) is my mahoosive granny stripe sofa blanket. It is over 3 metres wide and is my last half hour in bed project. I'm in no rush to complete, it is a very simple pattern and I'm going for the more minimalist 3 colour variation rather than a rainbow. 7 stripes so far.

Distressing Tuesday

I guess the concept of blogging is to actually post something occasionally, or even regularly.

I must make more effort to add pics etc. lol

Had lovely inky fingers using  Distress Inks today, to make this birthday card.

" Not another butterfly mummy ! "

My three year old proclaimed, as she entered the craft room to see me making a parchment butterfly, to add to the front of this Tri shutter card.  lol  

I guess I do make rather a lot of them, but you can never have too many butterflies !
